6-Day World Expo 2010 with Suzhou Discovery Tour

Please note that order of day-to-day itinerary is adjustable depending on tour start day.
Day 1 Shanghai

Morning sightseeing begins at Jade Buddha Temple and the Yuyuan Garden in the old town of Shanghai, which is based on the original walled city established in the 11th century. Afternoon visit the Shanghai Museum, Which boasts as one of the best museums in China, with its vast collection that even famous in old China that the Movie Mummy III mentioned. Then go to visit The Bund, the waterfront which shows Shanghai in early 1930s and then you can stroll or shop in the Nanjing Road(L).

Day 2 Shanghai

As you are coming for the Shanghai World Expo 2010, we will leave one full day time for you to explore the Expo Garden on own leisure.

Day 3 Shanghai to Zhouzhuang to Suzhou

Water Village Zhouzhuang is an ancient culture town in Southern China. The town is surrounded by water with many branching streams, stone bridges and old residence with black tiles and white wells.

Day 4 Suzhou

Humble Administrator's Garden: The garden is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens, constructed in the Ming dynasty. Focused on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby, the garden is divided into three parts: the eastern, middle and western parts.
The Grand Canal: The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world. Cruising on the Canal, you can see the local peoples' life. Suzhou is also famous for its silk production and the last item of the day of the day is a visit to the No.1 silk factory where you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth(B).

Day 5 Suzhou to Hangzhou

Transfer to Suzhou station,Train to Hangzhou. Local guide meet you at Hangzhou Station.Today's itinerary features the most famous scenic spots in Hangzhou - the West Lake. We cruise on the lake this morning to enjoy the beauty both natural and man made. The afternoon is spent at the Huqingyu Tang Chinese Medicine Museum. The Museum of Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine is a key cultural relics and historic site under the protection of the government. It is housed in the ancient buildings of a famous Hangzhou Chinese herbal medicine shop. The exhibition halls introduce the origin, development and application of traditional Chinese medicine and its role in the history of medicine(B,L).

Day 6 Hangzhou to Shanghai
We visit to Lingyin Temple (Monastery of the Hidden Souls). It is one of the most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China and houses a variety of Buddhist literature and treasures. The next stop is the Meijiawu Tea Plantation you will experience the unique tea culture, taste the fragrant tea and appreciate the beautiful village scenery(B).

3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation is confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
